Cotton Candy Style Guide: Spring 2024
Hi loves!
Im so excited to share this project with you all. Lately, I’ve been exploring different avenues with my writing, and doing lots of journaling trying to figure out how else I want to represent myself through cotton candy feelings. CCF has truly changed my life for the better, and I just… really cant wait to share everything new I have planned for this year.
So lets get into it.
My Motto? Chic Over Everything.
Being Chic isn’t just a style choice, its a mindset. After all, sometimes a cover is quite telling about a book.
What I consider to be chic may not be what you consider, but thats what I love so much about it.
Chic …. the word in of itself is very interchangeable in meaning, and thats what makes it so beautiful to me. Chic is shiny and gorgeous and well dressed ‘n decorated, and It makes me feel soooo fucking good. This all may seem kind of muddy now but stay with me. ANY girl who knows chic, knows it when they see it.
Here’s what I consider Chic this Spring.
Baby Pink
If this color alone doesn’t scream Spring, then I don’t know what does. Consider this for a change this Spring: go ALL in with the blush and pink tones. Fuck the angular look. To me, Spring blush calls for soft lines and edges. My absolute favorite pink blush is the Cloud Crush blush by Too Faced. Smile, and blend it upwards into the apples of your cheeks.

2. Midi Skirts & Dresses.
Texas weather in Spring is quite nice honestly, so it’s time to bring those long legs out of hibernation. I loveeeee Midi Skirts so much because you can dress them up or down, and they are so classically flattering to every figure. With a length right below your knees, Midi Skirts ensure coverage, comfort, and mobility— something that comes in handy when you’re wearing 4 inch heels.
My favorite example of the Midi Skirt is pictured above. It’s this gorgeous skirt that I actually thrifted at a GoodWill in Dallas. The a-line cut makes it hug my legs in all the right places, and also makes it beautifully flowy in motion.
And of course, my favorite Midi Dress. Courtesy of Target. Only $20 on Clearance.
My ultimate style icon, Sarah Jessica Parker.
3. Socks— with your favorite pair of heels or flats.
I know this is not some new, grand discovery in coquette fashion, but GIRLSSSS. We need to indulge in this little combination more, I don’t see it enough and it’s too cute to NOT be apart of your wardrobe rotation this Spring. I’m not really a flats kind of girl, so by flats I mean half inch heels on the flat shoe (pictured above). For this specific look, go for the closed toe flats. Patent leather or a silky texture is a must. Enya Umanzor is my inspiration for this type of look. <3
When It Comes to Heels, the Higher You Are, the Better
A beginners guide to heels.
Put down your new flats for a minute, & baby— put DOWN those centuries old Nike Air Forces. Now that icy weather isn’t an excuse anymore, it’s time to bring those gorgeous legs of yours out of retirement. I challenge you this spring to give a cute pair of heels a shot.
To start, you’ll need to figure out your foot type. Wide, or narrow?
If you’re a narrow-footed girly: Congratulations!! You’ve won at life, and nearly every shoe on the shelf will fit you.
If you’re a wide-footed girly: Of course you’re still winning babe, but it’s going to take a little more effort on your part to find a good pair of well fitting heels. As a wide-foot girl myself whose poured thousands into her footwear, I found it quite hard to fall in love with the fit of my heels rather than the looks. However if you have narrow feet, this doesn’t mean every shoe will be comfortable for you either— it’s just that most heels, designer or not, are made for more narrow sizes. Many, if not every one, of my favorite designers heels are not made with comfort in mind, but comfort better not be what you’re chasing in a heel. Pain just comes with the territory. Pop a weed gummy and move on.
Here are the heel height differences to keep in mind when shopping this Spring.
Manolo Blahnik Kitten Heels: beginner level heel, very easy to walk in, however MB is notorious for narrow fitting shoes.
I.N.C. NYC 2.5 inch heels: intermediate level heel, fairly easy to walk in, but still requires some practice. This is my favorite height.
Guess Stiletto: expert level! 4 inch heel, and the hardest to walk in of the bunch. Stilettos can reach up to 10 inches in height. I save these for a night out.
Steve Madden Platform Heels: Intermediate! with a heel height of 5.5 inches, you’d think they’d be the hardest to walk in or even wear, but these shoes are the MOST walkable and comfortable heels. These specific shoes are also great dupes for the Versace Aevitas.
Here’s how i’m styling some of these. Tap the image!

What’s on my radar?
MIXING METALS:
Why have the age-old inner debate, “am i gold, or silver girl?” when you could say FUCK IT, and be both? Dare I say, at the same time even? When it comes to jewelry, the best way to wear it is to lay it on thick, like lipgloss. Or like lipstick, and get some on your teeth. My custom grills are from TJ Jewelry! <3
THE DEBATE AROUND FUR:
When it comes to wearing fur, there are some points for debate to be considered. I will say, NEW fur is unethical and frankly, unattainable for most of us. However, vintage & second hand fur is ethical and quite affordable. Let’s leave faux fur in 2023, along with all of its shedding and microplastics. Vintage fur coats like the one pictured above (Mink) usually range about $70-$200, depending on length and fur type. Fur accessories like belts, headpieces, and shawls are usually on the lower end. My coat was a gift from my gorgeous boyfriend, and he paid $190.
The Importance of a Go-Bag
For the bag itself, always pick the shoulder bags that hang right by your elbow for easy access. And honestly it’s just more comfortable than a bag that sits under your arm. I got the bag pictured above at the Buffalo Exchange on SoCo.
PS! Coach Outlet has soooo many cute, durable, & affordable bags of this type.
This one’s my fave ATM at $79: https://www.coachoutlet.com/products/nolita-19-in-colorblock-micro-signature-canvas/CE698.html
The reason I call this a “Go-Bag” & not a purse because the shoulder bag is basically made for women in movement! As a girl always on the go, I never leave without one.
What’s in my bag anyway?
My Coach zip wallet of course, an adorable gem I got as a gift when I was a teenager who did not really understand just how adorable it was until years later.
Aquaphor Stick, because a bitch is dry.
L’oréal Paris matte lip liner in shade Matte-stermind. It’s THE best brown pink matte lip liner i’ve ever used.
Speaking of brown pink, Persona Gloss in shade toffee. It works in a pinch.
And of course, Clinique Black Honey Lipstick.
Keys to the Veloster, and a lighter for, you know, stuff and thangs.
If you’ve gotten this far, just know I love you and i am so grateful for all of the lovely people who take the time to read my writing. Im also so excited to try new things with CCF, because at the end of the day, i truly love what i do and the brand i’m creating for myself, all by myself. I said before but i’ll say it again: 2024 is about tunnel vision— and at the end of that tunnel is everything we’ve worked so hard for.
Let me know what yall are wearing this Spring! Stay on the lookout for the next Cotton Candy Style Guide for Summer 2024!
